The Best Biotechnological Test & Laboratory Solution

The Myco-Substitutes technology, which is in pre-pilot phase, produces between one and five balls of yarn a day. This is dependent on factors including the fungal species used, available space, and the availability of giant milkweed.

Experience Engineers
Imoro and his team receive faecal sludge (faeces, toilet paper and black water) from wastewater treatment plants for treatment and processing into the growth medium for mycelia cultivation.
Advanced Microscopy
Mycelial threads are used to create an alternative to cotton or synthetic thread for the garment industry. The leather-like fungi mycelia (an alternative to animal hide) is grown in 500 mm x 500 mm sheets for tanning and making bags, belts, and shoes.

What Clients Say About Our Lab Services!

"Myco-Substitutes’ ROFSIEQ technology has transformed how we approach waste management in our municipality. The compact, zero-waste system has allowed us to process faecal sludge safely and efficiently, turning it into valuable products like biochar and briquettes. Our local farmers have seen remarkable improvements in crop yields using the biochar, and the briquettes have reduced reliance on charcoal, preserving our forests. The inclusive design of their facilities has also created jobs for diverse groups in our community, aligning perfectly with our goals for sustainability and equity.".
